Reading company 9100 heavy flat car.

A highly detailed, accurate n scale kit of a Reading company 9100 flat car.  This kit includes all the correct details on the 9100 car. The wider flange and more detailed deck surface makes this car accurate and easy to build. For experienced builders this kit will need some finish work to fit and work well. It includes the car body, trucks, spreaders bars, and coupler covers.  It also has hardware for assembly, brief instructions, and some scale brass wire for grab handles and brake rods.

We recommend brass details but some brass wire is provided in the kit if you wish to use it.

The images include a finished car for example to show the potential of this kit when completed. This is a resin kit that comes unpainted.

You will need to provide paint, couplers, wheels, and some other details to your liking.
We have added wheels that will work for static display are they are the correct size.  You can use some better plastic or metal wheels of the right size to make the car usable on the layout past just sitting there. 

You will need to provide your wheels and couplers.  Bachman 78502 couplers work well, or any of this style.  This kit will need 32" wheels with scale flanges. In N scale this is a bit hard to find. Some builders have sanded the flange down on plastic wheels to fit.
Modeled in American N scale (1:160), this kit is true to scale and size.  Due to variations in the industry it may be a little large or small depending what scale your surrounding details are in.
