This kit will make one Reading railroad GHS style gondola. With its welded body and high sides this gondola was a staple in the later era of the Reading railroad. The composite floor and correct details makes this kit a model that will stand out on any layout.
The 2 piece design allows for weight between the upper and lower half. This will make running empty cars, or those specialized loads much easier.
Included with each kit is some wire for grab handles and plumbing along with screws and washers to attach trucks to the body.
One car provided per kit.
You will need to provide your wheels and couplers. Bachman 78502 couplers work well, or any of this style.
This car will also work as a Conrail class GR51M car. These body cars became this class after Conrail took possession of the cars from the Reading.
Modeled in American N scale (1:160), this kit is true to scale and size. Due to variations in the industry it may be a little large or small depending what scale your surrounding details are in.
