HO scale Reading railroad GHM gondola

This kit will make one Reading railroad GHM style gondola.  With its riveted body and low sides this gondola was a staple in the transition era of the Reading railroad.  The correct details make this kit a model that will stand out on any layout.

The 2 piece design allows for weight between the upper and lower half.  This will make running empty cars, or those specialized loads much easier.

One car provided per kit.

You will need to provide your wheels and couplers.  Bachman 78105 couplers work well, or any of this style.

This car will also work as a Conrail class GR51D car.  These body cars became this class after Conrail took possession of the cars from the Reading.

The images are of my N scale kit because I do not plan to build the HO scale myself.  Adjustments were made to accommodate Ho scale wheels and couplers. Printed and tested to work.

Modeled in American HO scale (1:87), this kit is true to scale and size.  Due to variations in the industry it may be a little large or small depending what scale your surrounding details are in.
